Founded in 1965 by Marco M. Richione, Jr. in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Scranton Sheet Metal began as a family-operated business aimed at providing affordable, quality services to local customers.

Shortly thereafter, the organization became a unionized contractor belonging to Northeastern Pennsylvania's Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union #44, before joining SMACNA, a national association purposed to establish uniform HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) standards across the industry.

Twenty-five years later, in 1990, the firm incorporated as its services evolved and its customer base expanded, officially becoming Scranton Sheet Metal, Inc. Today, Scranton Sheet Metal, Inc., an accredited member of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, provides institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential services across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
